Beginners Meditation Class
 
Join us to relax your mind and body and enjoy every breath and live every moment.
 
 
This is a 6 week short course at only £5 per session. Please note that places are limited so you must commit to the full 6 weeks course.

In the 6 weeks you will explore the many benefits of meditation. Through regular practice you can learn to enter a still space in your mind,

The stress and busyness of today's world, it is easy to start to let our emotions, hopes, desires and anxieties distort our thinking.

Meditation can help you to keep a proper perspective on life and to be able to cope with difficult everyday experiences.

Over the six weeks we will explore

1 Posture, relaxation exercises, relaxing your mind
Overcoming mental resistance to meditating and finding your point of stillness

2 Aids to meditation - aroma, music, guided meditations and visualisation
Walking or moving meditations

3 Using meditation to problem solve and release creativity

4 Mantras and Pathworking

5 Meditation for spiritual awakening and working with spirit guides

6 Meditation for healing

I will draw on a number of traditions of meditation from Zen, Native American, and Chakra opening to modern guided meditations

This course is suitable for all and if you have mobility problems no worries you can do this from the comfort of a chair or wheelchair.

You will need a small blanket, water bottle for afterwards and a yoga mat or cushion if you prefer to meditate on the ground.

Held every Wednesday at 7.45 for an 8pm prompt start. from Wednesday 11th November to Wednesday 16th December.

Please note this course will not involve any lotus positions or yoga it is about stillness of your mind and giving you a sacred space of calm for an hour a week.
